    Free Performance @ Webb: Three Musketeers (March 7, 8, 10 @ 7:30)

Webb’s "The Three Musketeers" Offers Swashbuckling, Sword Fighting Fun
    http://www.webbschool.org/podium/default.aspx?t=204&nid=703177&sdb=1

Swashbuckling, classic literature, dashing rogues, mysterious maidens, thrilling sword fights, comedy, honor, coming-of-age . . . these are just some of the thoughts that come to mind when describing Webb School of Knoxville's upcoming production of “The Three Musketeers.” Adapted by noted playwright Ken Ludwig, “The Three Musketeers” is an ambitious undertaking for Webb's high school drama students. The play calls for 15 separate and distinct sword fights, each one practiced with scientific precision under the direction of seasoned stage combat specialist Charles Miller.

Fans of the novel by Alexandre Dumas and the film adaptations will find all of their favorite elements conveyed with both humor and zeal in this rousing, fun-filled show, Saturday, March 8 and Monday, March 10 in Webb School's Bishop Center auditoriumShowtime is at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The public is also invited to a final dress rehearsal on Friday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bishop Center.

While generally family-friendly, Webb's “The Three Musketeers” does contain scenes of intense and violent swordplay, and discretion is advised for sensitive audience members.

Cool App: ArtKive (for preserving kids' artwork and school work)

Just discovered this app on iTunes: ArtKive (http://www.artkiveapp.com)

Currently, it is FREE on the app store. I've been spending the last two days taking pictures on my iPhone of the massive amounts of artwork I've saved from my kids. ArtKive will organize them for each child, for each year I designate. I can share these images with friends and family.

Then, later on, I can choose to print a book and have a nifty way to archive my kids' work without having to sift through boxes and piles of paper (my current system. Ugh!).

In fact, I use this for more than just art work. I've been taking snapshots of their writing so I can save all those heartwarming "I love you, Mom!" notes scribbled when they were three to written essays in second grade about how "Dirt is Cool." It's amazing to see how their handwriting and thoughts have changed through the years. Check it out and if you find other cool apps, we'd love to hear about them!
